A teenager is in critical condition after he was pulled from the waters of the St. Lawrence River in Pointe-aux-Trembles on Monday afternoon.
Urgences Santé said the boy, who is between the ages of 15 and 17, was taken to hospital.
“We fear for his life,” said spokesperson Stéphane Smith.
Montreal police say officers were called to the scene about 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Notre-Dame Street and Saint-Jean-Baptiste Boulevard.
Véronique Dubuc, police spokesperson, could not provide more details about what happened.
An investigation is underway.
