Four linked to Proud Boys 'stabbed in fight' during US election

Four people associated with the Proud Boys have been ‘stabbed and slashed’ while cheering on Donald Trump in the US election, it has been reported.

The victims had been at a bar in Washington DC, near the White House, when there was an altercation outside around 3.20am local time, NBC News reported. All are receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio told far-right site The Gateway Pundit he had been slashed in the stomach. Several people could be seen fighting together on the street in video of the alleged attack shared on social media.

In the clip, pro-Trump demonstrator Bevelyn Beatty can be seen clutching her lower back and telling those with her: ‘They stabbed me.’

A man also walks towards the camera clutching his face and tells his friend: ‘I’m bleeding’.

Tarrio claimed that another of the Proud Boys was stabbed in the neck, while a fourth was knifed in the ear. He alleged that the attackers were Black Lives Matter supporters.

He went on: ‘We were helping some guy that was getting stabbed by two black males and one female. Bevelyn got stabbed as well as two Proud Boys and the guy they were attacking. I got slashed, but it’s not serious. We were walking to our cars.’

The Proud Boys are a far-right, anti-immigration and pro-Trump organisation, founded in 2016. Members often wear black and yellow Fred Perry polo shirts, to the point that the brand has tried to distance themselves from the group.
