Class of 2024: It’s been a year like never before. How did you write about it?
By The New York Times
The world just lived through one of the most wrenching and disruptive years in memory. For many young people applying to college, 2020 will be a year they will talk about and remember for the rest of their lives. A deeply formative year.
The New York Times would like to hear how you are translating that year into your college application essay, another formative ritual for high school seniors on the cusp of adulthood.
The topic is up to you, but the essay must be one that you actually submitted to at least one college. Tell us where you sent it, the prompt that the essay was answering, and the name and location of your high school.
We may interview submitters and feature excerpts from their essays in an article. We will not publish any part of your submission without contacting you first.
