Taser-wielding racist tells black neighbors 'You should act like white people!'

A racist woman was filmed brandishing a taser at her black neighbors while telling them: ‘You should act like white people.’ Adana Dean was filmed confronting Gerritt Jones and his family in Discovery Bay, California, earlier this month during a row over the Jones’ pit bull Dice being unleashed outside.

Dean, who carried a small poodle and stun gun, was recorded saying: ‘You’re a black person in a white neighborhood and you’re acting like one. Why don’t you act like a white person in a white neighborhood?’

The racist could also be heard to say that she was raised in Oklahoma City ‘where there were tons of black people,’ and later told Jones’s sister Jarielle ‘You’re acting like people who aren’t normal.’

Jones said afterwards: ‘Normal to her is people who will lay down and submit to unfortunately her white privilege and white supremacy.

‘She had a stun gun and if my sister or any of them got physical with her, the story would’ve been this black family is assaulting this white lady in the streets.’

Jones told KGO that his family and Dean have previously gotten along well in the 12 years they have lived nearby.

Surveillance video from their home even captured Dean bending down to stroke Dice earlier the day of the argument after Jones went for a walk with his pet and his 13 year-old son Zayaire.

He has vowed to ignore his neighbor’s ‘advice,’ saying: ‘I want my son to grow up and be proud of who he is. I hope that people all over the country learn from this see that this can’t be tolerated.’

And Zayaire added: ‘We’re going to act black in our white neighborhood.’

Dean’s husband told journalists the row was a ‘minor incident’ and refused to comment further.

Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies had investigated, and determined that no crime had been committed.

A spokesman said animal services had been informed over allegations about Dice being off his leash.
