Woman thanks ‘cheating’ husband in Valentine’s Day post – but it backfires

A woman who told the world her husband has been unfaithful on Instagram didn't get the reaction she hoped for after been told to "have some self respect".

The hurt wife posted a picture of her Valentine's gift on the social media site.

At first it looks as if she had been spoilt with two boxes of chocolate dipped strawberries from pricey confectioner Russell Stover alongside a card.

But things took a turn in her caption when she wrote: "Sometimes my cheating husband is actually nice”.

The American, known only as Lex, was not met with a wave of sympathy.

The brutal Reddit comments section says she should keep private things private – and not post personal issues for the world to see.

One wrote: “He’s wrong for cheating, and she’s just a miserable person by staying along.

"Have some self-respect and get out of there.”

Another put: “Cheating is never right. But don’t f***ing stay with someone just to drag them through the mud every day.”

While one user wrote: “SAHM (stay-at-home-mum) whose husband cheated, stayed with him, but posts cr** like this daily on Instagram.”

There was also claims that the husband comes off looking better than the angry wife.

“Jokes on her… this is far more embarrassing for her than it is him,” another posted.

"Just petty really," added a Reddit regular.
