Denver International Airport wasn’t hit as hard as downtown by Wednesday’s snowstorm, with DIA only reporting 2.1 inches of flakes. Still, 133 flights have been canceled and another 19 delayed.
Southwest, SkyWest and United have been impacted the most. Slightly more departing flights than arriving ones have been affected by the storm. If you are headed to the airport, it is wise to check your flight status before heading out to the airport.
More snow is expected on Wednesday, but DIA is still operating with all six runways as of 6:30 a.m. A spokesperson for the airport said airlines are in full de-icing operations.
Peña Boulevard is wet but open, and officials say to drive with caution or consider taking the RTD A-Line. The snow impacted many roads around the area and RTD routes have been delayed or canceled.
