Paramedics have assessed 23 casualties and taken 12 of them to hospital after an ‘electrical fire’ saw four homes evacuated. The incident on Normacot’s Upper Belgrave Road saw police, firefighters, paramedics and engineers called out in the early hours with the stretch taped off. Residents have said their electricity went off before they spotted smoke and experienced a “horrible smell”.
