Adele releases her new single, Easy On Me, tomorrow ahead of her long-awaited fourth album. In a statement released yesterday, the British singer confirmed the hotly anticipated 30 will hit the shelves and streaming platforms on November 19. She appeared on the cover of both the British and American editions of Vogue magazine earlier this week, making history as the first collaboration of its kind. In the interview, she explained that her new album was recorded to help her son Angelo James understand why she and his father, Simon Konecki, divorced.

Adele was dating Simon from mid-2011 and their son was born the following year.

She then married her beau in 2018, she told Vogue, but they separated the following year.

She explained: “We got married when I was 30… then I left.”

The ‘Someone Like You’ singer is known for being incredibly private, preferring to stay off the front page.

Yet, in an unearthed interview with Glamour from 2011, shortly before she met her future husband, she admitted a cheeky crush on Prince Harry.

The Duke, four years her senior, was believed to be single at the time.

Adele said: “I’m after Prince Harry. I know I said I wouldn’t go out with a ginger, but it’s Prince Harry!

“I’d be a real duchess then.

“I’d love a night out with him, he seems like a right laugh.”

Despite admitting her crush on the prince, Adele explained she doesn’t like dating celebrities.

Her new boyfriend, Rich Paul, is a high-profile sports agent with clients including LeBron James and Trae Young.

They made their first public appearance together at an NBA game in July. Adele admitted to Vogue that she “didn’t mean to go public with it” and merely wanted to go to the game.

She said in 2011 that she finds it difficult to date celebrities because of the media attention that comes with it.

She explained: “I’ve been on a few dates with celebrities, but I don’t like it.

“You go out and everyone looks at you both. I’m not going to say who.

“We go to really established places that know how to keep their f***ing mouths shut.

“But then, everyone wants to f*** a celebrity so I wouldn’t trust them.”

Adele, just 23 at the time of the interview, admitted she didn’t have a “type” as such, but ruled out dating a toyboy.

She had just released her second album, 21, featuring number one singles ‘Someone Like You’, ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Set Fire to the Rain’.

She said: “I don’t have a type. Never have. Older, but not as in 50.

“Not younger than me. I’m pretty young so it would be like f***ing Justin Bieber!

“Any colour. Any shape.

“But they’ve got to be funny.”

Adele met Rich at a party, and were friends before deciding to date.

She explained: “The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want.

“I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.”

In yesterday’s statement, Adele admitted she has learned “a lot of blistering home truths” about herself.

She said: “I’d go as far to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.

“And so, I’m ready to finally put this album out.”

Adele’s new album, 30, will be released on November 19. It will be available on all major streaming services and in major retailers too.
