Assisted dying could be legalised in UK 'within four years'

People could be given the right to have an assisted death within the next four years, the politician in charge of a parliamentary group into the matter has said.

Andrew Mitchell, the co-chair of the all-party parliamentary group for choice at the end of life, says the law could change within this parliament.

The leading Tory MP has told Sky News he believes there is growing support among MPs for a change in the law that would give choice to people who are nearing the end of their lives.
