Boris Johnson refuses to rule out national CURFEW to stop spread of coronavirus

This morning the Prime Minister said there was “no question” stricter rules will be introduced “in due course” to help suppress new cases of the virus.

Boris Johnson held a meeting of his “Covid-O” committee this morning to look at the latest data and consider what steps are needed to cut infections.

Yesterday the UK recorded 54,990 new coronavirus cases, the sixth day in a row more than 50,000 have been registered.

This afternoon the Prime Minister’s official spokesman refused to rule out introducing a curfew to bring down the numbers, warning everything would be kept under consideration.
