Boris 'will be gone by February', says Dominic Cummings' father-in-law

Number 10 has dismissed claims that Boris Johnson is planning on stepping down in six months as ‘utter nonsense’.

According to the Times diary, Dominic Cummings’ father-in-law Sir Humphrey Wakefield made the claim to a visitor at Northumberland’s Chillingham Castle – which he owns.

Comparing the after-effects of Covid-19 to fetlock injuries in horses, he said: ‘If you put a horse back to work when it’s injured it will never recover.’
