Camilla stepped out to mark the 25th year since the first Maggie’s Centre opened in the UK. Maggie’s is a charity providing free support to people with cancer and their families and has centers alongside NHS hospitals scattered around the country.
As she celebrated this organisation’s splendid work and milestone, Camilla said she would like to see one Maggie’s centre in every NHS cancer hospital in Britain.
Speaking about the amazing work done by the charity, she told BBC Breakfast: “To be able to just cross the road to this quiet, cosy, warm centre and talk to people who really know everything there is to know about cancer is… I think it’s the greatest thing.”
