Emergency services surround easyJet plane after major security alert at Belfast Airport

A major security alert has been declared at the airport. The jet landed in Belfast at 8.48am on Thursday. The plane had arrived from Lond Stanstead and was soon surrounded by emergency services on landing. 

According to the Belfast Telegraph, ambulances were seen arriving at approximately 9am. 

Police dog units also boarded the plane as it was stationed outside the terminal. 

The police services, easyJet and Belfast International Airport have all been approached for comment by Express.co.uk.
