EuroMillions is a transnational lottery that requires seven correct numbers to win the jackpot. The lottery was launched on February 7, 2004, and is now run twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Draws take place every week in Paris. To participate in the EuroMillions Lotto, tickets can be bought from any outlet, including supermarkets and newsagents.
The first ever huge EuroMillions jackpot was won by Ireland’s Dolores McNamara in 2005 after she scooped a huge £115million.

The first ever huge EuroMillions jackpot was won by Ireland’s Dolores McNamara in 2005 after she scooped a huge £115million.

On February 3, 2006, three winners shared the record jackpot of £183million after the first rank was 11 draws vacant.

Two French people and one Portuguese citizen received £61million each during this draw.

In order to limit the jackpot from growing higher and higher, the rules of the game in the period from 2006 to 2009 stipulated after the 12th draw without a winner, the amount would be rolled down and shared between winners in the next prize tier.

How do you play EuroMillions?

Pick five numbers from one to 50 and two Lucky Stars from one to 12.

If you don’t fancy choosing your own numbers, try a Lucky Dip for randomly selected numbers.

Choose to play on a Tuesday or Friday – or both, then the number of weeks you would want to play.

You can play up to seven lines of numbers and buy up to 10 play slops at a time.

After you’ve done this and chosen your numbers, all that’s left is to wait and see if you’re a winner.

You should note that if you’re playing on draw days, you will need to buy your ticket before 7.30pm on the day.

If you don’t do this, then your ticket will be automatically entered into the following EuroMillions draw, on the next Tuesday or Friday.

For every EuroMillions ticket you buy, you will be automatically entered into the UK’s Millionaire Maker game.
