National Lottery fans can rejoice as Tuesday is here, and that means it’s EuroMillions night. Each Tuesday and Friday, truly life-changing multi-million pound EuroMillions jackpots are up for grabs. Tonight (September 7) the EuroMillions jackpot stands at approximately £22million.
Although you have to be very, very lucky to win the lottery, there are a select number of fortunate people that have won the EuroMillions jackpot over the years.
In fact, a UK ticket holder recently won a share of a massive £54million EuroMillions jackpot only last week.
Camelot said there were three winners in the Tuesday, August 31 draw.
So the UK ticket holder ended up winning an impressive £18,204,387.20.
The two other EuroMillions jackpot winners last week were in France and Belgium.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said last week: “It’s great news for one UK winner who has scooped a share of the fantastic £54million EuroMillions jackpot in tonight’s draw.
“Players are urged to check their tickets, and give us a call if they think they might be one of tonight’s lucky winners.
“National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country raising, on average, around £36million every week.
“Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2billion has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus.”
To win the EuroMillions jackpot, players need to match five main numbers and two Lucky Stars.
But there are other staggering prizes up for grabs along the EuroMillions prize tiers.
People who match five main numbers and one Lucky Star can get a prize of some £130,554.30.
