Four stabbed in space of just two hours across London

Two men are fighting for their lives after a spate of stabbings in the space of just two hours in east London yesterday.

The violence started in Barking where a man was left in a critical condition in hospital after a multiple stabbing at 4.20pm.

Another victim was found with stab wounds to his hands in Sandringham Road.

Police said they arrested two males on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the attack.

Less than an hour later at 5pm in Hackney, a man, believed to be in his teens, was found suffering from a stab injury in Brooke Road.

He was rushed to hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.

Scotland Yard said no arrests had been made but a Section 60 was issued for the entire borough of Hackney.

The section 60 order allows police to stop and search people without suspicion if serious violence has taken place.

The order remains in place until 10am this morning.

Police then said they came across a fight between two men in Ilford at 5.44pm.

A man in his 30s suffered stab and slash wounds and was taken to hospital in a ‘life-threatening condition’.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
