Hackney crash: Pedestrians struck after car mounts pavement in north London

Police and paramedics are at the scene of an incident in north London where a car has mounted a pavement and struck pedestrians.

The incident took place in Stamford Hill, Hackney, but there is no information yet on whether anyone has been seriously injured.

Metropolitan Police said no arrests had been made and that the incident is not being treated as terror-related.

Pictures on social media show a silver car with damage to its bonnet and front tyres, having seemingly collided with a tree outside a shop.

A number of people can be seen gathered around the vehicle, in addition to several police cars, ambulances, and at least one fire engine.
