Harry and Meghan 'staying at mansion that would cost £200,000 a month to rent'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be staying at a deluxe mansion in LA, which would cost around £200,000 a month to rent.

The £14.5 million house in Beverly Hills, owned by producer and actor Tyler Perry, has eight bedrooms, a swimming pool and a fountain in the front.

Neighbour Steve Frankel, said to be an estate agent to the stars, told the Daily Mail: ‘I imagine Tyler is letting Meghan and Harry stay there as his guests because I’d think it’s outside their price range. A property like that would fetch $250,000 [£201,500] a month in rent.

‘There are no homes above or overlooking it. There’s a guarded gate to the community and then Tyler’s estate has a gate of its own at the start of the long driveway leading up to his home.

‘It’s so private I didn’t even know that Harry and Meghan had moved in until the helicopters started to arrive.’

The paper said that Mr Perry is rarely at his mansion in LA as he prefers to stay in Atlanta, where he has a film studio.

It is thought the couple met him through their mutual close friend Oprah Winfrey.

Harry and Meghan have only been seen in public a few times since moving to LA.

They secretly delivered food parcels to sick people during the lockdown and were also spotted walking their dogs with bandanas covering their faces.

The Sussexes stepped down as senior royals on March 31 and initially moved to a rented home in Vancouver, Canada, before travelling to California to settle down permanently.

The first year of their new chapter as a family is being paid for by Prince Charles while they search for a permanent home.
