A house has collapsed in south London after a fire and explosion tore through it.
Dozens of firefighters are at Galpin’s Road, Thornton Heath, fighting a blaze on a terraced street.
It’s unclear how the fire started or if anyone has been injured.
London Fire Brigade said crews have had to be drafted in from Norbury, Mitcham, West Norwood, Woodside and stations further afield.
Around 40 firefighters are on the scene, an LFB spokesperson said.
They were called out shortly after 7am after several concerned people made 999 calls.
It’s unclear if the blaze is linked to the wildfires which have hit parts of the South East in recent weeks.
A major fire broke out in Feltham, a short drive from Heathrow Airport, on Sunday.
More than 70 firefighters tackled flames which spread through dried foliage and put dozens of homes at risk.
