Princess Beatrice, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter gave birth to a baby girl on September 18. She and her husband Eduardo announced the child’s name yesterday, introducing Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi to the world. As they revelled in their new addition to the family, the couple also made sure to include another treasured member.

The post announcing their new child’s name also honoured their son, Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf Mapelli Mozzi.

Wolfie, five, is Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s child from a previous relationship.

He welcomed his first son, whose mother is his former fiancée and architect Dara Huang, in 2016.

And Princess Beatrice has wasted no time in ensuring he feels like a part of her own growing family.

As the couple announced their new addition, they posted a picture of their child’s feet imprinted on paper.

And they included a nod to Sienna’s big brother.

They said they were “delighted” to welcome Sienna in a Twitter post, adding Wolfie is “the best big brother” to her.

Twitter fans have reacted positively to the announcement, with many approving of the name.

Twitter user PJ Chatfield wrote: “What a beautiful name! Your whole family is beautiful!”

Another user, Giselle Mercado, wrote: “Congratulations mum and dad on your bundle of joy. Sienna is a beautiful name.”

The Princess’ mention of Wolfie is the latest in a long line of public moves to make her stepson feel more welcome.

Speaking to podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, she recently referred to him as a “bonus son”.

The Princess opened up about her experience with dyslexia – which her husband also has – and how their children will benefit.

She told Ms Fletcher she was “incredibly grateful” to have resources she could use to aid “any child, any bonus son” who happens to have trouble as well.

She also opened up about the homeschooling experience with Wolfie, saying homeschooling was “definitely not” her forte.

But she added that she felt lucky to spend some quality time with her bonus son.

Beatrice said she felt “very lucky” to have “had the chance to work with my bonus son” during school closures of the last year.

She added: “It was a huge learning curve for all of us.”

A source close to Mr Mapelli Mozzi has also heaped praise on his parenting approach.

They told PEOPLE magazine “Edo” is “easily one of the best dads” and “so committed to this little boy.”
