Two bagels have been listed on the website after Kate and William visited Beigel Bake on Tuesday. They are described as “Royal Bagels made by the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge”.

The starting price is £6 but so far no bids have been made. The listing ends later today just before 8pm.

The bagels are said to have been bought on the day of William and Kate’s visit to the bakery in Brick Lane.

The seller advises that they are eaten within 48 hours.

A picture shows the bagels complete with their brown paper bag.

The seller claims the bagels were made by the royal couple.

The description says: “2 bagels made by the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on 15th September 2020 when they visited the famous ‘Beigel Bakes’ in Brick Lane, East London to learn how to make bagels.

“They helped by kneading the dough for the batch that these two were a part of.

“The bagels were bought fresh at 5.30pm on the 15th and are still in their paper bag.

“Although they are starting to go a little hard they will still taste alright once toasted if eaten in the 48 hours.

“After that, they’re best off just being hung on the wall.

“There is every likelihood they will go mouldy and need to be thrown away.

“But you’ll still get to hold and nibble on something Will and Kate have made with their own fair gloved hands.

“I can also confirm they were both wearing face masks.

“Condition is New. Dispatched in original packaging – brown bag – with Royal Mail 1st Class.”

In the item specifics section, there is a “required level of weirdness” category which says “rather strange”.

The Cambridges visited the bakery during a day of royal engagements in London.

Kate, 38, and William, 38, were given a masterclass in making bagels.

Fiona McVeagh, who has worked at the eatery for 33 years, said: “They are pretty good, especially her – she clearly knows how to bake.”

The couple wore masks, aprons and gloves as they got stuck in.

Kate was glamorous in a floral dress and tan heels, while William looked smart in a blue blazer.

The Cambridges recently returned to Kensington Palace after spending much of the lockdown at their Norfolk residence Anmer Hall.

William and Kate kept busy with virtual engagements during the pandemic.

They also had to home-school Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis.

The couple have started stepping out for face-to-face engagements as restrictions have eased.
