Kate, Princess of Wales feels “hurt and betrayed” over Prince Harry’s conduct towards her and the rest of the Royal Family over the past two years, an insider claimed. The Princess of Wales was known to share a close bond with the Duke of Sussex, especially in the early years of her membership in the family. Kate and Harry could often be seen teaming up with Prince William through their shared work at the Royal Foundation but their connection dwindled in recent years.

A royal source claimed: “Kate feels hurt and betrayed that Harry would do this to her too, especially as the pair used to be so close.”

An insider close to the Princess of Wales and the Duke of Sussex had previously suggested Harry appealed to his sister-in-law’s sillier side.

They said: “Kate has quite a different relationship with Harry than she has with William.

“Harry appeals to her sillier side because he is carefree, footloose and loves banter.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly refused to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary but instructed staff to tune in.

Royal aides from both Buckingham and Kensington Palace reportedly watched the first three episodes of the new series when it was released in early December after the Prince and Princess of Wales refused to.

An insider told The Sun that the couple are reluctant to engage in a tit-for-tat battle but added that “if there are parts which are blatantly wrong, then it is only right that they are corrected”.

The insider added that “the trailers already have some glaring errors and misrepresentations, which doesn’t bode well for the full series” but “the plan is to keep schtum and carry on”.

Prince Harry and Meghan's Netflix show 'backfiring' says host

But a royal source told US Weekly: “William isn’t planning to give his side of the story or openly retaliate.

“He’s remaining dignified and is getting on with the job. The general consensus amongst the royals is that Harry and Meghan aren’t doing themselves any favours by speaking out about the family.

“They’re hoping that once Spare is released Harry and Meghan will focus on the future and not the past.”

Prince Harry’s memoir is due to be released on January 10, the day after the Princess of Wales’s birthday.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield predicted the biography will be “full of filler”.

The ToDiFor Daily podcast creator said: “While I agree they feel like telling their side of the story was important, I have heard that Meghan was not thrilled with the final edit.

“Expect Spare, like the reality show, to lack detail. Full of filler, à la the bit about Harry losing his virginity to a ‘beautiful older woman.’

“Who was it? Most people are noticing that while Harry and Meghan like to talk… the two seem to lack substance and detail.”
