The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have three children – Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three. Following their birth in St Mary’s Hospital, the royal parents had to complete the regular process of filling out their children’s birth certificate.

However, unlike many, the Duke and Duchess don’t have a regular job title.

As demonstrated by a photograph of Prince George’s birth certificate, William listed his occupation as “Prince of the United Kingdom”.

Kate Middleton listed her occupation as “Princess of the United Kingdom”.

Kate, though commonly known as a Duchess, received the Princess title upon marrying Prince William and should be addressed as “Royal Highness”.

In Northern Ireland, she bears a different title – Lady Carrickfergus – while Prince William holds Baron Carrickfergus.

This title was gifted to the pair on their wedding day by the Queen.

Kate Middleton’s full title is Princess William of Wales, however, this is rarely used.
