Kate Middleton: Expert on ‘modification’ to royal upbringing
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s parenting has often been praised for being very grounded, despite being part of the Royal Family. Channel 5’s Royal documentary: ‘When the Middletons Met the Monarchy’ reflected on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s plan for raising their children in the long run. Royal commentator Tom Quinn and Ashley Pearson claimed Kate will want her and her family to have a large influence on their upbringing.
The pair agreed she will want them to experience a grounded “upper-middle-class” upbringing.
Mr Quinn added the Royal Family’s traditions and ways of bringing up children would likely be considered too formal.
He said: “I suspect everyone thinks that in terms of the children the Royal Family will inevitably have the most influence.

Ms Pearson said: “I think there is going to be a modification of the royal upbringing.

“But I also think this because Kate had a very sensible upper-middle-class upbringing.
“She will want her boys to experience some of that.”
The narrator added this could create tension between the grandparents.
She said: “Is the normal life that Kate and William are keen for their children to live becoming the cause of friction between the Windsor and Middleton grandparents?”
Royal expert Jennie Bond said: “I suppose there is a little tension between who gets to see the grandkids most.
“Kate will always turn to her mother Carol for help, advice and guidance and just get together with the kids.
“She would do this possibly before getting together with Charles.”
