Lorraine Kelly has reflected on Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William’s royal wedding. This comes as the future king and queen consort celebrate 10 years of marriage today. The ITV host described how the Duke of Cambridge’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales served as an “example” for the bride.

She told viewers: “When it came to the vows, Kate took Princess Diana’s example by not promising ‘to obey’.

“Instead the couple vowed to ‘love, comfort, honour and keep’ each other.

“As one of the most momentous events of the decade concluded, the Duke and Duchess stepped out for the first time as husband and wife.

“The happy couple and their jubilant families took their places on the balcony on Buckingham Palace.”
