King's College Hospital: Smoke rises from buildings during fire

Video footage showed thick plumes smoke from near the hospital in London.

Witnesses took to social media to describe fire engines rushing to the scene.

The London Fire Brigade confirmed the blaze.

Four engines and some 25 firefighters are attending the fire at the hospital.

They wrote on Twitter: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters are attending a fire at the School of Dentistry at King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill”.

King’s College will be one of seven hospitals in London that will administer the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine as the groundbreaking jab is rolled out across the country.
