London stabbing: Horror knife attack on busy Kensington street – Met Police rush to scene

The Met Police were called to an incident outside Kings Seaford on Harrow Road at around 9am this morning.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from slash injuries, which the force believe to have been self-inflicted.

He was taken to a nearby London hospital by the ambulance service and arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray.

A second man was treated for his injuries at the scene by medics. 

A police cordon has been put in place in surrounding areas.

An investigation remains ongoing.

The Met Police said in a statement: “Police were called at 09:00hrs on Wednesday, 23 December to a shop on Harrow Road, W9 following reports of a disturbance and a man with a knife.

“Officers attended and found the man [A] suffering from slash injuries, which are believed to have been self-inflicted.

“He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital for treatment.

“A second man was also treated by the LAS for slash wounds.

“The man [A] has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray.”
