A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 21-year-old man was knifed in the street. Tributes have poured in for the man, named as Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov, who was killed in the late night attack on Bromley Road in Downham, south London. Emergency services arrived at the scene on November 4 after reports of the horror attack.

But despite being rushed to hospital, Mr Stoyanov died of his injuries the following day.

A murder investigation led to the arrest of the 14-year-old boy.

Police believe the attack may have been carried out by three perpetrators who all fled the scene on foot.

Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Today’s arrest is a positive development, but we know there were up to two further suspects involved.

“Our investigation continues at pace and we have a number of ongoing lines of inquiry to attempt to identify and trace the other individuals.

“I would urge anyone with information which could assist us to come forward.”
