According to analysis from the Zoe study, it is estimated 969 could suffer from long Covid symptoms. With case rates rising in the younger population, the analysis warned many more school-aged children may go on to be impacted by long Covid symptoms. The predictions were based on current rates which show the 0-18 and 18-35 age groups dominate the current wave of cases.
With these figures rising, the Zoe analysis warned those suffering symptoms beyond a 12-week period will suffer further implications which will in turn put more pressure on the NHS.
