The National Lottery’s Lotto draw takes place each Wednesday and Saturday, and tonight has the potential for one winner to claim £3.8million. This sum could make dreams come true, from buying a home to going on that once in a lifetime holiday.

Lotto tickets cost £2 and can be purchased until 7.30pm on the night of the draw.

If you correctly predict all six main numbers, you’ll bag yourself the £3.8million jackpot.

Match five main numbers plus the bonus ball and you’ll take home £1million.

If picking the numbers yourself seems too daunting, you can opt for a lucky dip which will select your numbers for you.

How do you know if your ticket is a winner?

For those lucky enough to have matching numbers and bag themselves a prize, there are a couple of ways to find out.

If you bought your ticket via the National Lottery app or website, you will receive an email telling you you are a winner.

You will then need to log onto your Lottery account to access your games, and see what your prize is.

For those who have bought tickets in-store, you can scan the paper tickets using the app.

This will tell you if you have won a prize and how much it is!

You can also pop into your nearest store which sells lottery tickets and check using their system.

Good luck!
