M25 traffic MAYHEM: Four-mile gridlock causes hell for drivers after crash – huge delays

Two lanes have been closed on the busy motorway anti-clockwise between Junction 13 at Staines and Junction 12 at the M3 following the crash as recovery works take place. Emergency services are on the scene.

Drivers have been warned tailbacks strech to Junction 14 at Heathrow.  

National Highways South East tweeted: “Lanes 1 and 2 are closed on the #M25 anti-clockwise between J13 (#Staines) and J12(#M3 ) due to collision. Emergency services including National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene.

“There are currently delays of 20 mins and approx. 4 miles of congestion.” 

Inrix tweeted: “All traffic being temporarily held, long delays and queuing traffic due to recovery work and accident, a couple of lorries and a van involved on M25 anticlockwise between J13 A30 (Staines) and J12 M3. Congestion to J15 M4. All stopped just after 9.20am, one lorry still being recovered.”
