A stretch of the M3 in Hampshire has been closed after an air ambulance landed at the scene of the accident near Winchester. All lanes on the stretch of the motorway are between junctions 10 and 11 are closed southbound.
Hampshire Police said they were at the scene of the accident involving a van and a lorry and confirmed that diversions are in place.
An air ambulance reportedly landed at the scene and Hampshire County Council reported that delays are building on approach to the accident.
Travellers and officials are reporting severe delays along the section of the M3, warning fellow users to take diversions to avoid the queue.
