Man who crashed into police station 'snapped over £10,000 Covid fine'

A man arrested for crashing a car into a police station and trying to set the street alight reportedly snapped after being fined for breaking lockdown rules.

The suspect, 45, had allegedly just been told he was being fined £10,000 – the maximum possible – for an unknown breach, The Sun has reported.

A man was tackled to the ground by police after a car was rammed into the entrance of Edmonton Police Station in Enfield last night.
