Emergency crews raced to a home in Bournemouth today after a “gas explosion” caused a huge “boom” heard by local residents.
Fire services raced to Gunville Crescent in the Muscliff area of the town just before 10am this morning. Local reports said a woman was pulled from the wreckage of the building in what is believed to have been a “gas related incident”.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: “We received a call at 9.51am this morning about a gas related incident on Gunville Crescent, Bournemouth. Crews from Redhill Park, Springbourne and Poole are currently in attendance, along with our police and ambulance colleagues.”
Dorset Police added that officers are helping the fire service with road closures. We will keep you updated on the situation below.
