Meghan and Harry have released the first picture of their daughter, Lilibet, in an image on their annual Christmas card. The photo, which also shows Prince Harry with Archie on his knee, was taken by Alexi Lubomirski this summer at the couple’s home in Santa Barbara, California.

Ms Bartholomew said: “The first public photo of baby Lilibet, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been shared on the family’s 2021 Christmas card. Harry and Meghan’s second child was born in June.”

Mr Myers said: “It’s quite a sweet photo, isn’t it? I mean, a lot of people have been remarking about young Archie’s red hair.

“He’s got quite a mop of it that we can see in the image and also Harry’s ripped jeans and barefoot look.

“First photo, (I) really really love it. (It’s) really heartwarming to see the family altogether, all smiles because it’s been quite a big year for them hasn’t it after that Oprah Winfrey interview but as it says ‘Happy Holidays’ I think that’s a sentiment for everyone in the moment.”

Ms Bartholomew added: “Yeah, it’s not a family photo unless you have double denim featuring somewhere in that photo. Tell us more Russell about the Queen’s Christmas plans because Prince Charles and Camilla will now join her at Windsor Castle for Christmas.”

Mr Myers said: “Yeah, will. They’ve been upended, obviously, because of the spiralling COVID rates here in the UK the Queen has was forced to sort of cancel her Sandringham trip she was due to host all the family over in Norfolk, but that’s been cancelled.

Prince Philip compared to Charles by royal commentators

“She’s gonna have a few select members over at Windsor Castle of course, Charles and Camilla will be there. We expect Prince Edward his wife and children will also be there and Prince Andrew and his family will no doubt make an appearance but I think the main thing is that the Queen won’t be alone.

“She’s had a tough year this year losing Prince Philip, you know that that picture of her in the church all alone is sort of etched into everyone’s memories. So I think we’re all wishing that the Queen has a merry Christmas this year.”

Ms Bartholomew asked: “Do you imagine a time when both sides of the family will all come together, when the Sussexes will return and perhaps join in the Christmas festivities?”

“Well, they were invited this year and they decided to decline the invitation. I mean whether they will come to the UK next year remains to be seen. I think there’s still a lot of water to get under that bridge before everyone comes together,” Mr Myers said.

“However, it is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in a matter of weeks. There’s a lot of celebrations planned in the UK and across the Commonwealth next year.

“So you know that might be the big catalyst to get everyone together. And you know, try and let bygones be bygones and new children are always the way forward.

“I’m sure the Queen would love to see her two great-grandchildren on that side as well.”
