Meghan Markle ‘will do something to distract’ from King Charles’s Coronation
Meghan Markle never wanted “to be a part of the Royal Family” as she is from California, a royal author has claimed. Tom Bower, who wrote Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors, said that he was surprised even Prince Harry would attend King Charles’s Coronation.
“I never thought that they would come and I was a complete minority. What I hadn’t actually anticipated is that he’d come alone for 24 hours,” Bower explained.
He continued: “Clearly, he suddenly realised if he doesn’t come he puts himself so completely in isolation, in the freezer, that he had to make an appearance.”
However, Bower said he always believed Meghan’s presence at the once-in-a-generation event was unlikely.
He claimed: “Her presence was never likely because she doesn’t want to be in Britain, she doesn’t want to be part of the Royal Family, she’s a Californian.”
In addition, claimed Mr Bower, Meghan couldn’t be guaranteed “a spotlight in the front row” which may have helped prompt her to stay home.
He said on TalkTV: “She didn’t want to play second fiddle again, gazing out of a window.
“So I think altogether for her, unless she was going to be prominent, she wasn’t going to take the part.”
Meghan will remain in California for the Coronation on May 6 which also happens to be her son Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

Harry and Meghan blasted as ‘fragile creatures’ by US TV host[REPORT]
Harry will attend the ceremony but reports have said that he will likely only stay in the UK briefly before returning to the US.
The Coronation is the first since the late Queen was crowned on June 2, 1953.
King Charles has planned a slimmed-down ceremony that will be significantly shorter compared to his mother’s.
Around 2,000 guests will attend the event including royals, heads of state and world leader, with a full weekend of festivities planned.
