Express.co.uk readers voted in our poll on whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will ever move back to Britain and pick up where they left off. The majority of respondents – 92 percent – insisted Meghan and Harry, who are now living in the US, will not return to their previous roles in the UK.
Just four percent said the Sussexes will make a comeback, while three percent replied maybe and one percent did not know.
Commenting on the poll, one reader fumed: “Even if H&M wanted to return they must never be permitted to.
“The contempt and disrespect shown to The Queen, The Monarchy and the British people have shown they are unfit to serve.”
Another wrote: “Oh my goodness! I hope not. They have made themselves so unpopular.”
A third said: “The question should be, do we want them to come back ?????”
One more commented: “If they do come back which I hope they don’t they will NEVER be Royals in the eyes of the people, whether that will bother them or not is another question…”
Meghan, 39, and Harry, 35, plunged the monarchy into a period of crisis in January when they announced bombshell plans to step back as senior royals.
The Queen held a summit with Prince Charles, Prince William and Harry to discuss the Sussexes’ future roles.
The couple had hoped to continue supporting the monarch while earning their own money.
But the plan was deemed unworkable as it would have led to accusations they were cashing in on their royal status.
It was later announced they would no longer be working members of the Royal Family.
The Queen’s grandson and the former actress are now starting a new life in America with their one-year-old son Archie.

They have recently bought a mansion in celebrity hotspot Santa Barbara for £11 million.
Meghan and Harry officially ended royal duties on March 31 in a move dubbed “Megxit” and the arrangements are set to be reviewed after 12 months.
It comes as new book Finding Freedom has made fresh claims about tensions between the Sussexes and other members of the Royal Family.
Meghan and Harry felt their complaints were not taken seriously and believed other royal households were leaking stories about them to the press, according to the biography by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
The book claims that being told to operate under Buckingham Palace’s umbrella after splitting their household from the Cambridges was “a big disappointment” to the Sussexes.
Harry was left furious by William’s “snobbish” advice when his older brother urged him not to rush his romance with Meghan, according to Finding Freedom.
The book also claims there was no feud between Kate and Meghan but the two duchesses had nothing in common.
An alleged royal rift was due to frostiness between brothers William and Harry, according to the biography.
And the book claims that by March the Sussexes and the Cambridges were barely talking.
Harry’s relationship with Charles was more complicated than a traditional father and son, according to Finding Freedom.
And the Queen was left “hurt” when Meghan and Harry unveiled a secret website setting out their future plans when they revealed their intention to step back as senior royals, the book claims.
