Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor have spent several months living in California since the family left the Royal Family at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the Royal Family earlier this year. But what heartbreaking changes will they have to make to an upcoming special occasion?
Prince Harry and Meghan’s recently participated in a special episode of Time100 Talks.
The couple spoke about improving the digital world.
Meghan said: “It can feel really overwhelming to try to understand all the nuance of what happens online.
“It is all-encompassing and it affects us at a multi-faceted level.”
She and Harry also discussed the importance of checking in on people you love throughout the pandemic, adding how the Sussex family were enjoying spending more time as a family.
She said: “All things considered, everyone is grappling with a different version of the same thing.
“For us, we’re trying to embrace all of the quality time we get with our son right now and to not miss a single moment of his growth and development, which has been really special.”
But soon the family will have even more time to spend together – due to a very special occasion.
The Duchess of Sussex will soon celebrate Thanksgiving like many Americans.
The Sussex family are also due to celebrate with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland in California.
The couple is due to celebrate Thanksgiving in a very different manner from last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Sussexes currently live in California, which has the second-highest number of coronavirus cases in the US with 911,823 cases.

But the California Governor Gavin Newsom has disappointed many Americans by issuing several new rules related to upcoming Thanksgiving celebrations.
The Governor issued the new rules in an effort to combat the ongoing pandemic.
He said that celebrations must take place outside and include no more than three households.
In addition, people must wear face masks at all times except when eating and drinking.
Furthermore, singing, chanting and shouting is “strongly discouraged” and overall, celebrations must be limited to two hours.
In a statement, the Department of Public Health said: “Gatherings that occur outdoors are significantly safer than indoor gatherings.
“All gatherings must be held outside.
“Attendees may go inside to use restrooms as long as the restrooms are frequently sanitised.”
The statement comes as the US state reported a surge in COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
In total, there were over 60 percent more cases reported around the state Saturday and Sunday — a total of 6,159 according to local media.
Meghan has previously stated that Thanksgiving is her favourite holiday.
Last year she celebrated with her family in Canada.
But this year it is expected she will celebrate with her family at her new home in Montecito in California.
