The royal author, who penned Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, discussed the supportive role the Duchess of Sussex has been playing in her husband’s life. The author discussed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and claimed that, upon meeting Prince Harry, Meghan Markle gave the 38-year-old the praise he had always craved.
The royal author discussed his assessment of the couple’s relationship on SiriusXM podcast ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’.
The author told Ms Kelly that Meghan, whom he described as wanting “wealth and fame”, “stepped in to help him with his needs”.
Speaking to the author, the podcast host said that, despite Meghan wanting someone “of wealth”, it “worked the other way too”.
She added: “He was feeling irrelevant, she comes along, she’s somewhat [a] well-known person, or at least that was his impression.”
Speaking of the Duke’s struggling relationship with the press, Mr Bower claimed that Harry “blamed the media” for the “crashes of his relationships”.
The author added that Harry was “seeking a role” as he had “nobody, on whom, he could rely on”.
Prince Harry, who admitted to struggling with his mental health in his 20s, praised wife Meghan Markle for pushing him into seeking therapeutical support to address his issues.
Speaking to Dex Shephard’s Armchair Expert podcast last year, the Duke of Sussex said: “And then once I started doing therapy it was like the bubble was burst.”
“I plucked my head out of the sand and gave it a good shake off and I was like, ‘You’re in this position of privilege, stop complaining and stop thinking you want something different — make this different — because you can’t get out.
“How are you going to do these things differently, how are you going to make your mum proud and use this platform to really affect change?’”

Meghan met Harry through mutual friends in July 2016, just over a year become the couple became engaged.
Meghan and Harry got married in May 2018, two years before relocating to the US after stepping down as senior royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex struck a series of production deals with the international platforms, which include plans for an already-established podcast and a documentary on Prince Harry’s work on the Invictus Games.
Prince Harry is also scheduled to release his first autobiography sometime this autumn, in which he pledged to discuss “the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned” as a member of the Royal Family.

In January 2020, the couple announced, via Instagram, their decision to step down as senior royals, in order to become “financially independent”.
They claimed that the decision came “after many months of reflection and internal discussions”.
Despite their decision to step down, they vowed to continue to support the late Queen, who died on September 8 this year, aged 96.
The Duke and Duchess have since settled in California and returned to the UK shortly before Her late Majesty’s death to carry out a series of engagements with charities and organisations they support.
