The Duchess of Sussex’s mother marked her 65th birthday on Thursday. Doria is likely to have celebrated with Meghan, Harry and her grandchildren Archie, two, and Lilibet Diana, who was born in June.
Doria is known to be close to Meghan.
The social worker and yoga instructor lives in Los Angeles, which is near the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion.
Doria was Meghan’s only family member to attend her and Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.
The Duchess is estranged from her father Thomas Markle.
Doria also joined the Sussexes at a royal engagement to launch Meghan’s Together cookbook in September 2018.
Doria stayed with the couple at their former Windsor residence Frogmore Cottage following the birth of their first child in May 2019.
A friend previously told People magazine of Meghan: “She definitely gets a lot of her strength from her mother.”
The Sussexes have another birthday to celebrate this month as Harry turns 37.
The Duke celebrates his big day on September 15.
Meghan will no doubt make sure Harry has a special birthday.

The former actress previously opened up on birthdays on her now-closed blog The Tig.
Writing in 2016, she said: “My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year.
“Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.”
It comes as royal biographer Omid Scobie claimed Harry and Meghan are entering “the era of visibility” and are now in the “thrive chapter” as they return to work following their parental leave.
Mr Scobie told People: “They’re a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground.
“They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding.”
The Sussexes quit royal duties in March 2020 for a new life in America.
