Jessica Mulroney, who has been close pals with Meghan Markle for over a decade, has deleted a throwback wedding photo from the Duchess’ 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. The Canadian stylist first shared the adorable photo of her son smiling at Meghan on her special day to her Instagram account on Thursday.

The caption to the image, which features Brian, one of her twin sons, first read: “When I feel dark and grey, I see this and it all goes away.”

She later amended the post, changing it to: “I see this and pure joy.”

But Ms Mulroney has since deleted the post, adding weight to reports the pair fell out at the beginning of the year and now have little contact with each other.

It is thought Meghan, or an aide working for the Duchess, may have asked Ms Mulroney to take down the photo.

Meghan first met the Canadian when she moved to Toronto for the filming of US legal drama Suits and the pair soon hit it off.

The women bonded over a mutual love for yoga and pilates, according to royal reporter Katie Nicholl.

She said: “They went to the same yoga and Pilates and became firm friends.

“Meghan really looks up to Jessica. She thinks she’s a talented person, a wonderful mother, and a great best friend.”

Over the years the pair have holidayed together and Meghan spent a lot of time at Ms Mulroney’s home in Toronto when she first started dating Prince Harry.

When it came to the couple’s royal wedding, Meghan asked her friend’s children to be part of her bridal party.

The stylist’s twin sons, who are now 10-years-old, were page boys at the Windsor wedding.

But their friendship is believed to have turned sour earlier this year, after Ms Mulroney was accused of abusing her white privilege by influencer Sasha Exeter.

The black influencer accused the stylist of attempting to scupper her career by pressuring brands not to work with her.

She also claimed Ms Mulroney had taken offence to her call for bloggers and social media stars to speak out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Canadian issued an apology to her Instagram page, but the controversy resulted in the stylist losing her job on ABC’s Good Morning America and a string of fashion deals.

As well as impacting her career, the dispute is also thought to have strained her friendship with Meghan who has spoken about Black Lives Matter and her bi-racial heritage.

The Duchess is said to have be “mortified and heartbroken” by the incident and has since kept her distance.

A close friend of Meghan said at the time: “Meghan is absolutely mortified that she’s been dragged into this complete mess.

“She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation was tone-deaf and heartbreaking.

“Meghan said friends reflect friends and because of what’s at stake she can no longer be associated with Jessica, at least not in public.”

The source added: “She has to do what she has to do in order to preserve her dignity and her own reputation.”
