Meghan Markle’s social media return discussed by expert

Meghan Markle’s sweet side is on full display in a cute clip that’s resurfaced online a year on from Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The Duchess made an emotional vow to a member of the public as she joined with her husband and in-laws to mark the passing of the Queen.

The country and Commonwealth is preparing to mark the one-year anniversary of the Queen’s passing tomorrow, with senior members of the Royal Family set to pay tribute together at Balmoral Castle – Her Majesty’s holiday home.

This was where the Queen spent her final moments before dying, aged 96 – a historic moment that marked the longest ever reign of a British monarch.

As the nation mourned the Queen’s passing, Meghan made good on a promise she made to a member of the public, a resurfaced clip shows.

Meghan joined Prince Harry and his brother Prince William, and wife Kate, Princess of Wales, in meeting the public at Windsor Castle days after the Queen’s death had been announced.

The two couples’ appearance together was the first time in 915 days they had been seen reunited publicly, after Meghan and husband Harry decided to quit the UK and move to the US.

During the appearance, the once-hailed Fab Four were given an array of floral tributes to commemorate Her Majesty.

And in one shot Meghan was seen speaking to an aide about a bouquet of flowers she had received.

In a post on X, Meghan reportedly told the insider that a member of the public had asked for the flowers to be placed at the gate.

Shared by account @royal_suitor, Meghan reportedly said: “I told them I’d place them over there so it’s OK. Thank you. I appreciate it though.”

Fans shared their delight at Meghan carrying out the request, with one saying of the former Suits star at the time: “Nice gesture from Meghan”.

Another said it showed the 41-year-old’s “warm soul”.

Harry is due back in the UK today as he speaks at the Wellchild Awards tonight.

The Duke of Sussex was scheduled to deliver a speech last year but his appearance did not happen as he rushed to be with other members of his family by the Queen’s side.

Meghan is set to reunite with Harry when he travels on from Britain to Germany, where he opens this month’s Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

The games will be the first that has taken place since the Queen passed away.
