The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms which cover parts of England on Saturday.
A few heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible across central parts of England, including the Midlands and south west of England.
It will come as a shock to many who have experienced heatwave temperatures over the past few days.
The weather warning is active between 2pm on Saturday until 9pm on the same day.
The thunderstorm warning means people could face difficult driving conditions and there could be delays to train services.
There is also a chance of flooding and some possible short-term loss of power.
A Met Office spokesperson said: ‘While most places will stay dry, a few places may see heavy, slow moving showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening.
‘Where these develop, heavy downpours are possible with 30 to 50mm of rain possible in 1 to 2 hours or less.
‘Large hail and lightning are likely additional hazards.’
