Zara Tindall watches as Lena gatecrashes Mike’s podcast
Zara Tindall, 39, is the Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest granddaughter and lives with her husband Mike, 42, and their two daughters – Lena, two, and Mia, six, in Gloucestershire. Zara is currently pregnant with their third child and the royal baby is expected in spring.
Former England rugby star Mike shared his and Zara’s baby news ahead of Christmas while speaking on his podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.
As Zara and Mike prepare to welcome their new arrival, the excited dad has given a rare insight into how they have been finding life at home during lockdown.
Asked about their homeschooling schedule Mike told the Times it was “Definitely different.”
Zara and Mike tied the knot in 2011 and while they are not working members of the Royal Family they are a huge hit with fans who admire their down-to-earth ways.

Like Mike, Zara is also a professional sportswoman and won silver with Team GB’s equestrian team at the 2012 Olympics.
Zara had hoped to compete for her country again in the Tokyo Games that were scheduled for last summer but had to put her dreams on hold after they were postponed due to coronavirus.
Asked about the secret to his and Zara’s relationship, Mike said: “I don’t know if I’ve got any top tips.
“She’s always right, is that a top tip? I think there’s a lot of balance.”
He added: “It’s always been good for us being two professional sportspeople.
“It’s a bit clichéd but you understand each other, what your motivations are. I think that’s why we gel.”
While Mike touched on his “different” approach to homeschooling in the new interview, he previously opened up about his homeschooling troubles during the first lockdown last spring.
At the time he told the Telegraph: “Zara still has hopes that the horses will get back, they still need training and working on, so I get to be a teacher in the mornings which is sometimes really nice, sometimes really frustrating.”

He added: “I don’t think any child is a great homeschooler because they definitely listen to other people better than they listen to their parents.
“[Mia] can be brilliant one minute and then something you’ve seen her do a thousand times she’ll just go ‘I don’t know how to do that’ and then you go ‘well I know you do’, and she’ll just say ‘no I don’t’ and then you get frustrated, and you’re trying not to get frustrated.”
He later shared his joy at Mia returning to school in May with a jokey tweet after dropping her off for class.
Speaking about becoming a father for the third time Mike revealed he and Zara didn’t wish to find out the sex of their third baby before the birth.
He told the Times: “It was always an interesting question whether we’d go for a third and I think both of us wanted a boy, so hopefully we’ll get one.
“We’re not finding out – I think it’s better that way.
“At the end of the day, you’re just happy if it’s got ten fingers and ten toes and it’s healthy.
“And Mia’s such a Daddy’s girl, it’s been brilliant. I’ve loved having girls.”
