An investigation has been launched after two people were found dead at a house.
A woman, believed to be in her 30s, and a man, thought to be in his 40s, were discovered at the property in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.
The emergency services raced to the home on George Street just after 4pm yesterday following reports that two people had been injured.
Both victims were found lifeless and their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.
They have not been formally identified but specialist officers are supporting their family.
A police cordon is in place at the property while forensics teams complete examinations and officers go door-to-door in the area.
Detective Inspector Andy McWatt said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those who have lost their lives.
‘The tragic events of this afternoon must be a real shock to people living in the area and I want to make clear that we are doing all we can to find out exactly what has happened.’
A number of lines of enquiry are being pursued by detectives who are urging people with information to come forward.
