‘Never forgive Meghan Markle’ Camilla will not forgive Sussexes for hurting Prince Charles

Relations between Prince Harry, 36, and his father Prince Charles, 72, have soured significantly since the estranged Duke of Sussex set off with his wife Meghan Markle, 40, to start their new life in California. Charles’ second son has not been afraid to berate his father.

In one interview, the Duke of Sussex claimed the Firm had “literally cut me off” and suggested he had been “let down” by Prince Charles.

The Mirror has reported that Clarence House’s accounts show the Prince of Wales to have supported both Prince William, 39, and Prince Harry with £4.5million in the year covering April 2020.

Harry and Meghan currently live in a mansion in Santa Barbara reportedly worth £11.5million.

But all of the sniping from the Sussexes from across the pond, including during the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, has reportedly taken its toll on other members of the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess look set to continue their attacks from the sidelines with the release of Harry’s new Megxit memoir.

The book is set to be released in the same year as Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee.

Camilla Parker-Bowles, 74, who married Prince Charles in 2005, is supposedly so furious with the conduct of Harry and Meghan that the previously healthy relationship between the Duke of Sussex’s wife and his step-mother may not be salvageable.

A source told The Telegraph: “I don’t think the Duchess will ever forgive Meghan for what she’s done to the Prince of Wales.”

This is somewhat of a surprise given how close the pair had been around the time Harry and Meghan tied the knot in 2018.

A source at the time said: “They clearly really like each other.

“There is a real warmth and support.

“Camilla has been very helpful to Meghan.”

For some time after their memorable wedding, the Duchess of Cornwall continued to offer support to Ms Markle.

In November 2019, after the Duchess of Sussex said she was “not OK”, a source told Vanity Fair: “She [Ms Parker-Bowles] doesn’t want to see anyone struggling, and she is fond of Meghan.”
