New Mexico shooter who killed three identified as 18-year-old student

A gunman who killed three people and wounded six others while shooting at random in New Mexico has been identified as an 18-year-old student.

Authorities said Beau Wilson, who was a student at Farmington High School, was responsible for the mass shooting on Monday that left two cops injured before he was shot dead.

Wilson was roamed the neighborhood with at least three firearms including an AR-style rifle that were bought legally, said Farmington Deputy Police Chief Kyle Dowdy on Tuesday.

The gunman shot ‘pretty indiscriminately’ at vehicles and homes, he said.

‘We’re still investigating how he came into possession of those firearms,’ said Dowdy.

Wilson was not immediately pictured.
