Nigel Farage has accused Meghan Markle of “outright lies” after a video was leaked on social media of the Duchess performing a curtsey four years prior to claiming she did not know how to carry out the greeting when meeting the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In a video posted on his Twitter feed on Tuesday evening, the former leader of the Brexit Party, who has been vociferous in his comments about the estranged royals, said Meghan and Prince Harry were “the most dishonest people that have ever walked the face of the earth”.

Mr Farage said: “Do you remember all the nonsense about Meghan having to curtsey but not knowing how to curtsey?

“We then saw her doing a curtsey in her Netflix documentary as if, frankly, to mock the late Her Majesty the Queen.

“She had never done a curtsey before. She knew nothing about it. Well, have a look at this little video that emerges from Suits, the series she appears in.”

Mr Farage then shared a video of the Duchess performing what appears to be a curtsey while playing paralegal Rachael Zane in Suits.

Mr Farage said: “She knew absolutely everything about curtseying. She had done it before.

“Yet more lies. Yes. Outright lies. That is what [Meghan Markle and Prince Harry] specialise in.

“Or are they just fantasies? You can make that up for yourself. You must make your own decision on that.

“But I tell you what, they are a couple of the most dishonest people that have ever walked the face of the earth.”

In Harry and Meghan’s new Netflix docuseries, the couple discussed the first time the American actress met the Queen on the Windsor Estate.

While discussing the meeting, Ms Markle performed a deeply exaggerated curtsey in front of her husband.

She then said: “I mean, it’s surreal. There wasn’t like some big moment of ‘Now you’re gonna meet my grandmother’. I didn’t know I was going to meet her until moments before.

“We were in the car and we were going to the Royal Lodge for lunch, and he [Harry] was like, ‘Oh, my grandmother is here, she’s gonna be there after church.’

“I remember we were in the car, driving and he’s [Harry] like, ‘You know how to curtsey, right?’. And I just thought it was a joke.”

Prince Harry added: “How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you would need to curtsey, especially to an American. That’s weird.”

Ms Markle said: “It was so intense. And then when she left, Eugenie and Jack and Fergie say ‘you did great!’. Thanks. I didn’t know what I was doing.”

Royal enthusiasts on Tuesday shared on social media the video of Ms Markle on Suits, attempting to disprove the Duchess’ claims.
