The top girls and boys baby names worldwide related to the royals were compiled by CasinoSites, which analysed data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and baby name website Nameberry. The research found that Meghan was the least popular female royal name, just behind Anne.

A spokesperson for CasinoSites said: “The interest in the Royal Family is not just a phenomenon for the UK, but worldwide.

“It is amazing to see the influence the members of this famous family have on the public and the spike in baby names.

“It will be interesting to watch the influence of these baby names and see where the newest addition – Lilibet – ranks in the future.”

Isla is the favourite royal-related girls baby name, according to the research, after the Queen’s great-granddaughter.

James is the top boys baby name after the son of Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex.

According to the research, the second most popular royal girls name is Charlotte after Prince William and Kate’s daughter.

Meanwhile, the second favourite royal boys name is Lucas – the moniker Zara and Mike Tindall chose for their son who was born in February.

The third most popular boys name is Jack, according to the research.

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in 2018 and the couple welcomed their first child, a little boy called August, earlier this year.

Mia is the third favourite girls moniker inspired by the Royal Family.

It is the name Zara and Mike chose for their eldest daughter, who was born in 2014.

The research puts Sienna, the name Princess Beatrice gave her first child with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, in fourth place for girls.

And the moniker Beatrice was fifth, while Zara was sixth.

The fourth top name for boys is Louis, according to the research, after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest son.

George, the name of William and Kate’s eldest child, is fifth.

Meghan and Prince Harry named their son Archie and this moniker is sixth on the list for boys.

William, Harry, Peter and Edward complete the top 10 royal boys names.

The Queen’s name, Elizabeth, is the seventh most popular royal girls name.

Autumn, Lena and Savannah are the last three monikers in the top 10.
