A 23-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his older brother.
Lewis Green, of Tewkesbury Close, Portsmouth, is accused over the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Billy Green.
Emergency services were called to Pickwick House in Wingfield Street, Portsmouth, at 12.43pm last Monday, 11 January, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His brother has since appeared at Winchester Crown Court for a preliminary hearing, during which he only spoke to confirm his name.
Judge Angela Morris remanded Green in custody for trial on a date and at a court still to be set.
The victim’s family said in a statement: “Our first-born son, heartbroken parents, taken way too young, he had his whole life to live.
“Billy will always be in our hearts and memories. A cheeky chappy with an infectious laugh. Loved forever by mum, dad and family.”
